Women's Ministry at Lake Hills Community Church exists to encourage spiritual growth and build upon the Biblical design for women. We focus on discipleship, personal holiness, spiritual encouragement, as well as reaching out locally and globally with the Gospel.

We seek to know God and His ways through study of and obedience to His Word, through prayer and through the community of fellow believers spurring one another on as women, mothers, daughters and wives.

Dress a Girl Around the World is a campaign under Hope 4 Women International, a nondenominational independent Christian organization. Their motto is: "We dream of a world in which every girl has at least one new dress. We want girls to know that they are worthy of respect, and that they are loved by God."

We desire to use our creative skills to "extend (our hands) to the poor and needy" (Proverbs 31:20), and "abound with deeds of kindness and charity" (Acts 9:36).

At Lake Hills Community Church, we sew dresses throughout the year individually, with special workshops twice a year to work on, or learn how to make, dresses together. Ladies who don't sew also come to the workshop and craft greeting cards for our caring ministry to use. These cards are a huge blessing to members of our congregation on special days or during times of needed encouragement.

We have fabric kits made up with all the necessary supplies to make a dress at home. Please contact Sarah Hughes, Phyllis Hughes, or Bobbi Fenske for how to obtain one of the kits. The dresses are sent to missionaries for distribution along with the gospel message on an international basis.
